The Elders are responsible for presiding at the communion table with meditation and prayer. Sources for communion meditation can be found in the booklet Daily Bread or online at Christian Standard or any other free online meditation sites. You are also responsible for delivering communion to shut-ins and the hospital. The communion for you to take is in the communion kitchen right behind the Narthex. If you are unable to serve on your day, please get a substitute or talk with your paired Elder.

The Diaconate is responsible for passing the offering plate down the pew rows and bringing the collected plates up front during the Doxology. A Lay Leader from the Diaconate will need to be assigned to do offering meditation and prayer. Meditations may be found online at Center For Faith and Giving under worship. You are also responsible for delivering communion to the nursing homes. The communion listings of the nursing homes are found in the communion kitchen which is behind the Narthex. If you are unable to serve on your day, please get a substitute.

The Associate Diaconate is responsible for greeting people and passing out the communion and bulletin by the sanctuary door. Also, you should pick up used communion cups and any extra litter in the pews along with the bread and juice on the alter (Jonathan N. may do the bread and juice) after the service. Your last responsibility is to take out the top page of each attendance book in the pews, date the new page for the next Sunday and put the pages you take out on secretary desk. If you are unable to serve on your day, please get a substitute.
