J-Walkers: Walking with Jesus (Afterschool Program)

J-Walkers is currently on summer break; however we are taking registration forms for the 2026-2027 school year. Information about the program is listed below along with the printable registration form and online registration form. If you have any questions, please contact Sheryl Van Dyke at 217-824-2782. Please drop the printable registration forms off at your home church or to Sheryl Van Dyke at First United Methodist Church.

An afterschool progam held weekly on Thursdays at First United Methodist Church.

 

Each week students will be transported from North School and Memorial School to FUMC for an afterschool program. The goal for this program is to introduce children to Jesus, letting them know how much they are loved. We focus on following Jesus and learning to live in the way he wants us to live.

 

The weekly activities include snacks, games, worship, and activities.

 

For 2026-2027 school year, J-Walkers will be held on the following dates:

 

September:   3, 10, 17, 24

October:        1, 8, 15, 22, 29

November:    5, 12, 19

December:    3, 10, 17

January:         7, 14, 21, 28

February:      4, 11, 18, 25

March:           4, 11, 18, 25
